Kennedy’s Disease Association Hires Its First Executive Director

Delery Rice, Executive Director

The Kennedy’s Disease Association (KDA) is pleased to announce that Delery Rice has been named its first Executive Director, effective October 5, 2026.

“We are thrilled to welcome Delery to the KDA team. Her leadership and expertise will strengthen KDA's ability to expand fundraising efforts, deepen community engagement, and build strategic partnerships as we enter the next chapter of the organization's growth,” said Terry Thompson, President of the KDA Board of Directors. “Delery's contributions will help increase our impact, accelerate investment in research, and advance our mission to develop effective treatments and, ultimately, a cure for Kennedy's Disease.”

Delery is a mission-driven nonprofit executive with more than 20 years of experience leading nonprofit organizations, statewide initiatives, advocacy efforts, public-private partnerships, and startup ventures. Throughout her career, she has built organizations, expanded funding streams, strengthened infrastructure, secured significant foundation and government funding, and developed partnerships that improve outcomes for children, families, individuals with disabilities, and other vulnerable populations. Frequently recruited by organizations undergoing transformation, Delery has successfully led strategic planning, infrastructure development, revenue expansion, and long-term sustainability efforts. Most recently, she served as CEO of My Life Talks.

Since 2000, the Kennedy's Disease Association has supported patients and families, advanced groundbreaking research, and built a global community rooted in compassion, education, and advocacy. Volunteer-led, the organization is committed to maximizing the impact of every contribution. From the organization’s inception, 87% of every dollar donated directly supports Kennedy’s Disease research, education, and patient support initiatives.

Please join us in congratulating Delery and welcoming her to the KDA team!
