Board Notes Archive

Meeting Highlights:  

1. The meeting began with introductions of Board members to KDA’s new Executive Director, Delery Rice.
2. KDA Treasurer provided the financial update for September, highlighted by donations to the 100-Step Challenge and the Ed Monte Virtual 5K.
3. The Board discussed this year’s grant and fellowship awards as well as several options for funding them in view of a significant budget shortfall.
4. KDA Director for Marketing and Outreach briefed the proposed pricing model for KD Voices (the KDA patient advisory board) which received unanimous approval from the Board.  
5. KDA VP reported on the highly productive KDA-sponsored Banbury SBMA workshop, noting strong researcher enthusiasm and cross-disciplinary collaboration.
6. KDA President and Marketing and Outreach Director reported on their respective outreach activities at the recent LONDC and AANEM annual meetings in Orlando.
7. We regret to inform you of the departure of Dr. Nick Holdgate from the KDA Board. Nick contributed so much to supporting the Scientific Review Board, developing the research committee, and providing valuable insights to Board discussions. Thank you, Nick, and we would welcome you back should you decide to rejoin us at some point in the future.  
8. Ed Meyertholen, our previous liaison to the SRB, has volunteered to step in to fill that role again.
