Meeting Highlights:
- KDA president provided an update on AnnJi’s Phase 3 clinical trial of AJ-201. While AnnJi has not yet announced the start date of the trial or when they will begin registering patients, they are making good progress with site selection and regulatory approval.
- KDA Treasurer provided a financial update indicating that this year’s revenue is slightly behind the projection and detailed several fundraising campaigns that are planned for the remainder of the year.
- Planning for the November 2027 conference is ongoing, with some last-minute details to be worked out before announcing the date and location.
- With the search for an executive director for the KDA well underway, the Board briefly discussed the initial candidates and agreed on a compensation package.
- Discussed the KD Voices patient advisory board for which volunteers are expected to be selected by late September/early October.
- Approved an applicant for financial aid for genetic testing.
