Meeting Highlights:
- KDA Treasurer presented the November financial report, noting that the KDA cash position is strong but will decrease as the large number of grants awarded this year are paid out. The Board will discuss the 2026 financial picture in greater depth next month.
- KDA Conference updates:
- Registration numbers have exceeded expectations for this early in the process, with 170 people signed up already.
- Breakout sessions for patients, carriers, and spouses/caregivers will be organized into smaller groups of 15-20 people each.
- Changes to the silent auction format have been proposed and are under consideration.
- Discussed the goals and format for the Board’s two-hour dedicated strategic planning session to be held next month.
- Was briefed on and approved of new, improved processes for welcoming new members and acknowledging memorial donations to the KDA.
