Challenges
Ed Meyertholen and Sean Blasko are participating
in the Runtex Distance challenge, a series of
seven races starting in September 2007 and
culminating in February 2008 with the Austin
Marathon. Total distance covered will be 87
miles!

Mike and Paula Goynes
have been walking & rolling for severl months now
and plan to continue doing so indefinitely.
Someday Mike hopes to be able to once again walk
with Paula but, for now, I will keep rolling
beside her in my power chair or golf cart. She is
walking between 10,000 and 20,000 steps a day!

Research Update
Chawnshang Chang, Ph.D.
and a team of researchers at the University of
Rochester Medical Center have published the
attached news release concerning their research
that could potentially lead to a treatment for
Kennedy's Disease. The article was published in
the March 6 issue of the journal Nature
Medicine. Read

Thanks to the
generous support of our associates, Dr. Chang
received a $25,000 research grant from the
Kennedy's Disease Association last fall.
